A diverse pack of K9 Cadets daycare dogs lined up together

Daycare & Development

We make every day count!

Daycare with a difference — a balanced day of training, structured play and on-site adventures, led by qualified handlers.

A balanced day

Basic manners through to more advanced training sessions are practiced throughout the day — focus, waiting at gates, calm leash walking, confidence building, pack down stays, obedience and more.

4.5+ hours of socialisation

On-site socialisation and adventures in a controlled environment where they can play and socialise as a pack — bully play, pushy or controlling behaviour is not allowed.

Exercise + learning

Exercise, play, mental stimulation, confidence building, calming work and self-control sessions — so your dog comes home physically and mentally tired.

New dogs — Introduction Period

Induction training - Because quality services require time and dedication

Our new dogs have a lot to learn before joining the rest of our Cadets. That's why all dogs complete our induction training before graduating into our larger Daycare & Development packs or homestay services.

This one-on-one time with a trainer fast-tracks your dog's learning. Giving them the time, guidance, and support needed to integrate smoothly and confidently into our pack environment. By building strong foundations first, we set every dog up for long-term success and ensure they can thrive within our daycare and homestay services.

During their induction training days, our focus is on building positive relationships with our team, developing solid obedience, recall, engagement, and listening skills, and introducing clear communication through conditioned verbal signals.

This helps ensure every dog can be guided reliably across different environments, allowing us to maintain safe, structured, and enjoyable pack experiences for all. The course typically runs over 6 day training sessions at a rate of $120 per day, or $175 for behavioural cases. Sessions can be booked once or as often as you like each week. If you are looking at a long term homestay service this can often be incorporated into your dog's homestay booking, provided it falls on weekdays.

Want to learn alongside your dog? We also offer 30-minute owner training sessions on pick-up for $75 with one of our trainers. This allows you to practice what your dog has been learning and carry those skills into your home environment.

If desired, we offer the complete package and can also follow this with one-on-one off-site consultations. This is done with you and your family to refine training and apply it in real-world environments.

Minimum Enrolment

3 months — for stability of the pack.

Because it's best for your dog to have ongoing pack socialisation throughout its life — and best for the stability of our packs — we prefer focusing on long-term clients. Minimum enrolment is three months from when your dog has graduated from their training period. It takes new dogs time to master the skills our long-term Cadets have, and it ensures we get the best results out of every dog. This is a total of 12 visits (excluding assessment and training days). Should you cancel within the first three months, the remaining amount for this period will be charged.

Booking options

Regular

A set weekly booking on selected day(s). Space is reserved, so you're charged whether your dog attends or not. One free cancellation every two months — excluding school / public holidays.

Casual

Casual daycare available only to existing clients. A 100% cancellation fee is charged if less than seven days' notice is given.

Entire Dogs

Yes — both male and female, provided behaviour isn't seriously affected (seen in some entire males). Bitches in heat (and the two weeks following) aren't permitted as they upset pack dynamics; you may use your free cancellation space if available.
